I always like to go there when I'm visiting friends in Düsseldorf. Whether inside or outside, very cozy. Huge selection of breakfast and for late risers until 4 p.m. 😴🙃 Portions, whether breakfast or anything else, are always large to very large, beautifully presented and very tasty 😋😋😋 It is worth taking a look at the day pass. In short, highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very tasty breakfast, price-performance ratio is completely okay. The staff is friendly and attentive, the sanitary facilities are neatly clean. Nice location, as everywhere in the corner precarious parking situation.

Delicious breakfast with large portions at reasonable prices

Were here spontaneously with a larger group (of course Corona compliant) and were served very friendly, very quickly. Food was great too - the lentil soup was great!

This restaurant is perfect for artists, late risers, people on vacation or those who just like to enjoy their breakfast late, because you can enjoy breakfast from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. There is also a varied menu, with e.g. delicious salads and a constantly changing menu of the day. We recommend!

I think the restaurant is overrated. Unwilling and inflexible staff. The breakfast was very neat!

Accidentally came here for lunch. Took a fish stew with vegetables and schnitzel. The stew is delicious and the schnitzel is good.

Been back to Ab der Fisch for a long time. The salad we ordered was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was (again) unfriendly. Unfortunately, we had this experience on our last visit. As guests we didn't feel welcome here. We wanted to pay by card, here we were asked if we could not pay in cash, because the operator would not like to have card payments due to the resulting fees for card payments. In my view, this behavior is highly unprofessional. As the operator, I either accept card payments or not. Our conclusion is that due to the lack of friendliness we will not come back for the time being.

The breakfast itself was very good. Gives a lot of choice. I didn't like the atmosphere; there were too many waiters who all ran headless. Before the first drink we were approached by 5 different waiters for an order. I didn't find her really friendly either. There were four of us, breakfast didn't come until the first one was ready. It was super loud in the restaurant.

I like to go there. Nice atmosphere, nice people, nice service. The whole corner with the many bars reminds me of Berlin times. And from the fish 🐠 fits in very well.

The "tight Max" in the fish is great! Breakfast in general. You sit well on the terrace and are served quickly by the friendly staff. Only in the interior could there be an update. I have known the shop for almost 20 years now. But unfortunately nothing happened during the interior, which is why I prefer to go in summer.

Unfortunately a little disappointing. Half of the order did not come, the scrambled eggs came much too quickly and were very raw, almost liquid. The order did not come completely but only piece by piece, so we all had to eat separately. The dishes were put together somewhat carelessly. Could use more love overall !!

5 stars are definitely not enough !!! After more than 10 years I was there again. Thank God nothing has changed. The menu was still delicious to read. Then it was the implementation. An absolute insider tip when it comes to great delicious breakfast !!! Only the framework program for children needs to be worked on. For adults there were plenty of newspapers / magazines, for children there was no. Leaves and colored pencils were served on request.

Ab der Fisch is a nice little cafe with quite a few different food options. The food was overall pretty tasty, but the service was a little lacking because it a bit too long to order our food. In summary, it was a nice experience.

Good food but cosy place

Very nice ourside area/terrace. Food was tasty and good value for money (we had espargus, chili con carne and the fish dish). Service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere inside is not my favourite (too cold in my opinion) therefore deducted one star.

We usually have breakfast here. Very warm and inviting. Good service. Good variety of selection for breakfast.

Food is delicious, the waiters are nice and there is no stress factor. Super loading! The pictures speak for themselves and invite you to a breakfast with friends at the weekend as well as a hangover breakfast after the party in Düsseldorf. Vegetarians get their money's worth here and can also order delicious bagels with goat cheese.

We came here to get some cake and coffee. The cake was delicious, so would definitely come again. The atmosphere is pretty chilled and if the weather is good, they have a nice terrace in front of the restaurant. The area is also very nice and there are lots of other restaurants and cafes around.

Service is friendly although can be really cold and less qualitative when busy. The Brunches are really nice and lunch/evening options are inspired from Asian and Mediterranean cuisines. A pity they still don't serve gluten free bread on demand.

Friendly service, although, as almost everywhere in Germany, the first few seconds are always a bit awkward if you don't speak German. Plus, it was a little busy so we got ignored in the beginning, but as soon as you get a waitress (in our case) assigned, their eyes and ears are all open to you. We order three things, as can be seen on the photos: a Nordic fish breakfast, a pancake and chili con carne. The amounts were no doubt superfluous, most certainly enough for big eaters like me and perhaps too much for women and children. But the prices are very reasonable (30 euros for everything including drinks). Thing that could be better: the pancake was a bit thick (in the Netherlands we usually have crepes instead of American pancakes). Also, the bread was somewhat dry. Four stars if they fix the bread!

the Brunch was not served after one hour' waiting. waiters walking around without a clue who ordered what. One waiter was particularly unfriendly. Overpriced too.
